MEET THE TEACHERS
I feel blessed to live in a community full of so many talented women and women who love to create together with joy, no judgement. It is a thrill for me to invite this community into the studio to connect, try something new or practice a favorite craft. My background is in Special Education but when my first daughter was born 19 years ago, I found myself at home making things. At this time I like working with found objects and vintage the most. My favorite way to create is with friends.
I hope to welcome you in the studio very soon.
My work focuses on the New England landscape in part because of its natural beauty, but also because of the history reflected in New England architecture. The New England landscape is so varied, as are the stories reflected in its weathered barns and antique structures. I also love to capture the way in which light and shadow influence the landscape. I can not remember a time when I did not want to capture in paint the essence of a "rare day" in June. It is often the simple pleasure of being aware of the light, color or quiet at a particular moment, or in a particular place that inspires me to paint.
